Kick start the new year with our delicious citrus bliss recipe


With the silly season officially over and a fresh list of #ROXYfitness resolutions to tackle in 2016, we decided to ease our way into the year with a cleansing and refreshing citrus infused water recipe.

Aside from being delicious, this is one of the simplest ways to stay hydrated and start the cleanse and detox process. We selected some of our favorite citrus fruits, sliced cucumber and added a sprig of rosemary for sweetness but the possibilities are endless!

Here’s what you’ll need:

- Orange - packed with vitamin c // beta-carotene protects your skin

- Cucumber - helps remove toxins from the body // silica promotes healthy hair, skin and nails

- Lemon - balances your body’s pH // cleanses your liver

- Rosemary - boosts immunity and circulation // improves memory

- A large jug or drink bottle

#ROXYfitness Citrus Water Recipe

We made enough mixture for a water bottle, but you can easily adapt for a jug or pitcher to share.

Slice some orange, cucumber and lemon (we removed the lemon rind as it can be too bitter). Add slices to the water bottle or jug with a few sprigs of rosemary and fill with water.

Store in the refrigerator for a few hours before drinking. Add ice to serve.

Depending on your taste you can add more of something and less of another to customise your flavor and intensity, or you can use sparkling mineral water for a fizzy twist.
