Staveley's Snow Diaries

After breaking my foot 3 months ago at the Czech World Cup, I have had my final X-ray and got the all clear from Doc to start shredding!

After hearing that great news my two younger brothers and I quickly packed my car, swung by our house at Mt Buller to grab my New Roxy Ollie Pop board and headed up to Thredbo.

We left Buller early last Monday morning and after the 6 hour drive, seeing two kangaroos and an emu cross the road on our drive up the Alpine Way; we arrived at our house in Jindabyne. Our first two nights were pretty cold because we didn't know how to work the central heating but now we have the place figured out. I've also made friends with the neighbours pet Hamster who comes to visit our garden.

Its been great getting back on the board, although there isn't much snow in Aus at the moment the Thredbo park crew has managed to set up an awesome rail park.  So I was jibbing on the rails all last week working on some new tricks, I was expecting to struggle coming back from a broken foot but so far everything is going well and it hasn't been to painful so Im stoked! I guess all those hours of Rehab and Physio paid off . The weather up here has been amazing, sunshine and no wind all week, despite my constant sunscreening I've even started getting a goggle tan.

Now I head back to Buller to hit up the rail park there. So be sure to watch out for my blog next week!
