Salt Hair, Don’t Care: DIY Sea Salt Spray for Beach Hair All Year Long

We’re no strangers to the beautiful salty locks we get after a surf session or a day spent at the beach. Whether you live a couple of blocks or a couple hundred miles away from the beach, here’s our DIY to achieving salty locks year-round.

Here’s what you’ll need:

- One 8 oz. (or larger) spray bottle

- Measuring cups

- Sea salt

- Coconut oil

- Aloe vera gel

- Scented essential oil of your choice

Fill the spray bottle with 1 cup (8 oz.) of the lukewarm water. Mix 1 tablespoon of sea salt, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel into the warm water. Give the spray bottle a good shake to make sure all of the ingredients mix together! Add a couple of drops of your choice of the scented essential oil of your choice (we love a hint of lemon for summer!)

Give your hair a few spritzes of the salt spray and let it air-dry. Use your fingers to scrunch your hair for texture. Spray and repeat as needed!
