Celebrating 10 years of Bali's Big Eco Weekend

Torah Bright and Mainei Kinimaka celebrated our tenth year of keeping Bali's beaches clean with the Bali's Big Eco Weekend. We kicked off the celebrations with a #ROXYFITNESS event in Seminyak and in the late afternoon as the sky turned pink and orange we released sea turtles at Kuta. The turtle release was to commemorate over 140,000 sea turtles being set free at Kuta Beach since our conservation effort to preserve the turtle breeding grounds at Kuta began ten years ago.

On Sunday we headed to Uluwatu to enjoy pumping waves and anyone willing to pay $160 USD to share the line-up with legends Mark Richards, Matt Hoy, Tom Carroll and Simon Anderson and our own Roxy girl, Mainei Kinimaka. Local Indonesian surfer, Made Switra, scored the wave of the day and took down the competition. The money raised at the event supports Project Cleanup Uluwatu to help keep one of the most cherished breaks in the world clean. Bagus!

Bali Thank you for the good times! Next stop Thailand for the next #roxyfitness event!
